| I stumbled across a NASA website this week with the most amazing star and space photos....and I decided to try to paint a "pushed" version of a starry sky..(starry skies are one of my favorite things) .I have to admit there isn’t much watercolor on this one....I used masking fluid and very watery acrylic for the sky...(I didn’t want the lifting that I’m getting with the M. Grahams to occur)...I kept adding glazes and then lifting with a tissue...actually I applied it just like watercolor..then glazed parts with yellow w/c. the trees and shrubbery and fox (that’s a fox...not a dog ) are painted with casein. (There was a thread in the general forum that reminded me to get out my casein paint) Comments and Critique always welcomed....I have very thick skin ...thanks! |
