| Last week was about using opaque paint in watercolor...so I thought that this week could be about transparency. I hardly ever paint with this much detail throughout the work.....But these marbles just screamed out for it! Thanks to Em (mustcreate) from Wet Canvas for the terrific photo reference...this is one time where I didn't need to adjust things...I just used a portion of one of her photos. This painting took me forever..... lots of glazes and adjustments.....I felt, at many times while working on it, like I'd lost my marbles. Maybe these are the marbles that I lost! (Sorry...I just can't resist a bad pun) |
