| I had a bit of a tough time with inspiration this week.....I had a piece of paper with a landscape on it that I had painted over with transparent periwinkle blue acrylic.... the plan was to paint some daises on top of that....(which I did)....but while I was working on that I decided to paint this poppy from a photograph in the reference library at Wet Canvas....(thanks stalksthedawn)...as I was playing around with the Casein paint on top of the watercolor background I got that cool purple colored center...I decided to outline the petals in the same color....and I really liked the orange and that violet against each other.....Unfortunately, it didn't scan very well....You need sunglasses to see it in real life....very bright! I had to choose between the daises and the poppy for the week.....and the brighter one won! |
