| Hi from northern Michigan.....This is from Honor, near Lake Michigan....at the Dead Stream....I sat in the back end of my truck to paint this..then finished at my mom's house... You can take a canoe ride from here, past my Mom's house on Platte Lake, into the Platte River through Loon Lake and then to Lake Michigan...about a 2 to 3 mile leisurely paddle....though now is the tourist season height...and it's like an expressway....lots of tubes, kayaks, canoes and whatever else floats! I have always liked this view...it is not at all like the rest of the area....It reminds me of Alaska...or what I think Alaska looks like....I've never been there! |
