On my birthday in October of 2003, I decided to start a series of paintings
chronicling "My 47th Year". The only parameters I gave myself were, an 8 x 8 inch
format(approximately) and I had to finish sometime during the week.... before
Tuesday night. I really don't know why I wanted to do this.....I guess it was a bit of a
test in perseverance. I announced this intention at www.wetcanvas.com in the
watercolor forum. Wet Canvas is a wonderful working artist's site. A fellow artist and
Wet Canvas member, Kristin (Remy), decided to join me in this year long project, so
we could cheer each other on.......It was an extremely worthwhile project for
me....It's nice to look back at the paintings and recall the different weeks quite
vividly...
